Understanding learning difficulties
What it is, and what we look at
A specific learning difficulty means a child struggles disproportionately in one area — reading, spelling, writing or arithmetic — while their general ability is normal. Dyslexia, the most common, affects the processing of written language. These are differences in how the brain handles particular information, not a reflection of effort or intelligence, and children often work harder than their peers for poorer results.
The intervention that works is educational: formal psycho-educational assessment, structured remedial teaching, and school accommodations such as extra time and alternative assessment formats. In India, a formal diagnosis also enables board exam concessions, which can change a child's academic trajectory. Hearing and vision must be checked first, since both mimic learning difficulty.

When to see a doctor promptly
Homeopathic treatment is not the right first step for these. Seek medical assessment if:
- There is a marked gap between your child's speaking ability and written work
- There is loss of previously acquired reading or writing skill
- The child shows distress, school refusal or low self-worth around learning
How we work
Our approach at the clinic
Individualised prescribing
Homeopathy selects a remedy for the person, not only the diagnosis. Two patients with the same condition often receive different remedies.
Detailed case taking
Your first visit covers medical history, family history, current medication, diet, sleep and stress — all of it informs the prescription.
Works alongside your doctor
We never ask you to stop prescribed medication on your own. Any change is made gradually and in consultation with your treating physician.

Common questions
Asked before the first visit
No. A specific learning difficulty is a difference in processing, and what changes outcomes is structured remedial teaching and school accommodations. Supportive treatment can help with associated anxiety, sleep and confidence, but it does not replace educational intervention — and delaying assessment costs a child school years.
