Osteoporosis treatment
Osteoporosis is loss of bone density that makes bones fragile and prone to fracture. It causes no symptoms until a bone breaks, often from a minor fall.

Understanding osteoporosis
What it is, and what we look at
Bone is living tissue that is constantly renewed. From around the mid-thirties, breakdown begins to outpace formation, and after menopause the fall in oestrogen accelerates this sharply in women. The result is porous, fragile bone. There are no symptoms along the way — the first sign is usually a fracture of the wrist, hip or spine after a fall that would not normally break a bone.
Vertebral fractures often go undiagnosed and show up as height loss and a stooped posture. Diagnosis is by DEXA bone density scan. Vitamin D deficiency is very common in India, including in sunny regions, and is a correctable contributor that is worth testing for.
Symptoms
You may recognise these
Causes & triggers
What tends to be behind it
- Fall in oestrogen after menopause
- Ageing, and low peak bone mass in early adulthood
- Vitamin D and calcium deficiency
- Long-term steroid use, thyroid excess and some medications
- Smoking, excess alcohol, low body weight and inactivity
When to see a doctor promptly
Homeopathic treatment is not the right first step for these. Seek medical assessment if:
- You fracture a bone from a minor fall — request a bone density assessment
- There is sudden severe back pain, particularly after age 60
- You notice height loss or a developing stoop
How we work
Our approach at the clinic
Individualised prescribing
Homeopathy selects a remedy for the person, not only the diagnosis. Two patients with the same condition often receive different remedies.
Detailed case taking
Your first visit covers medical history, family history, current medication, diet, sleep and stress — all of it informs the prescription.
Works alongside your doctor
We never ask you to stop prescribed medication on your own. Any change is made gradually and in consultation with your treating physician.

Talk to a doctor about your case
Bring your reports and current prescriptions. The first consultation is a full case assessment, and you will be told plainly if another specialist is the better route.
