Understanding gastritis
What it is, and what we look at
The stomach lining is protected by a mucus layer. When that protection is overwhelmed — most often by Helicobacter pylori infection or by regular NSAID painkiller use — the lining becomes inflamed. H. pylori is common in India and is a treatable, testable cause that is worth identifying rather than assuming.
Untreated, chronic gastritis can lead to ulcers. Case taking covers pain timing relative to meals, painkiller use, alcohol, smoking, stress and any previous H. pylori treatment, and testing is recommended where the history suggests it.
Symptoms
You may recognise these
Causes & triggers
What tends to be behind it
- Helicobacter pylori infection
- Regular use of NSAIDs and other painkillers
- Alcohol and smoking
- Long gaps between meals and highly spiced food
- Severe stress, and autoimmune gastritis in some patients
When to see a doctor promptly
Homeopathic treatment is not the right first step for these. Seek medical assessment if:
- You vomit blood, or pass black tarry stool
- There is unintended weight loss or persistent vomiting
- Pain is severe, sudden and unrelenting
How we work
Our approach at the clinic
Individualised prescribing
Homeopathy selects a remedy for the person, not only the diagnosis. Two patients with the same condition often receive different remedies.
Detailed case taking
Your first visit covers medical history, family history, current medication, diet, sleep and stress — all of it informs the prescription.
Works alongside your doctor
We never ask you to stop prescribed medication on your own. Any change is made gradually and in consultation with your treating physician.

If you have persistent upper abdominal symptoms, yes — it is a common, identifiable and treatable cause, and eradication changes the course of the disease. It is tested by breath, stool or biopsy.

Talk to a doctor about your case
Bring your reports and current prescriptions. The first consultation is a full case assessment, and you will be told plainly if another specialist is the better route.
